UK electronic pop icons Pet Shop Boys return with a brand-new studio album ‘Nonetheless’ on April 26, preceded by first single ‘Loneliness’.
Produced by James Ford, the music on ‘Nonetheless’ is both uplifting and reflective, mixing electronics, live instruments, and orchestral arrangements. The songs are very melodic and quintessentially Pet Shop Boys with a fresh, open sound, bringing together classic strands of PSB song-writing and moving them in new directions.

Pet Shop Boys have announced details of a new album called ‘Nonetheless’ – listen to its first single, ‘Loneliness’, below.
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe will release their new album on April 26, the first since 2020’s ‘Hotspot’. It sees them work with James Ford on production for the first time.
“We wanted this album to be a celebration of the unique and diverse emotions that make us human,” they said in a statement. “From the more dance-orientated tracks to the raw poignancy of the introspective ballads, with their beautiful string arrangements, each track tells a story and contributes to the overall narrative of the album.”
The band added: “We’re very excited to release this new album. Its 10 tracks are the strongest indicators of where we are today. Like much of our music it’s very reflective. It was great to work with James Ford, who we think has brought new elements to our music.

Pet Shop Boys announce the upcoming release of ‘Relentless’ – a special limited edition issued to celebrate the 30th anniversary of an album which occupies a legendary status in their catalogue. Pet Shop Boys’ fifth studio album ‘Very’ was released in September 1993 to massive acclaim and success (the album was preceded by the singles ‘Can you forgive her?’ and ‘Go west’, still two of the duo’s most popular songs today). It charted at Number 1 in the UK and all five singles entered the UK Top 20. A limited edition of the record, ‘Very Relentless’ was also released including a six-track dance album, ‘Relentless’, which was also available at the time as a rare standalone album and limited to just 500 copies. This swiftly became one of the most sought-after Pet Shop Boys artefacts. The six tracks on ‘Relentless’ have not been available since the original release. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the ‘Relentless’ album will now be released as a CD.
