The latest installment in the GarciaLive series has arrived! The 3-CD set celebrates one of Jerry’s most experimental, improvisational and revered projects: Legion of Mary and presents highlights from two winter 1974 performances captured during what is thought to be Legion of Mary’s first tour featuring the core lineup of Garcia, Merl Saunders, John Kahn, Martin Fierro and Ron Tutt. The music from these shows ranges from tracks like the hard-driving “Mystery Train” to a funky cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie On Reggae Woman.” Other highlights from the album include “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved),” “The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down” and “Roadrunner”.

GarciaLive Volume Five: December 31st, 1975 Keystone Berkeley celebrates the Jerry Garcia Band’s three set performance at the storied Keystone Berkeley. While Garcia celebrated many new years on stage with the Grateful Dead, this performance holds the distinction as the Jerry Garcia Band’s lone New Year’s Eve appearance. Fresh off a Winter tour which yielded the transcendent performances captured on 2009’s Let It Rock live release, Garcia is joined for this performance by mainstay John Kahn on bass, Sly and the Family Stone drummer Greg Errico and legendary rock pianist Nicky Hopkins. Hopkins’ accolades are almost too numerous to list, but include a seemingly endless list of collaborations with The Beatles, The Who, and the Rolling Stones, among many others. And what New Year’s Eve celebration would be complete without a few friends? Grateful Dead bandmates Bob Weir and Mickey Hart along with Kingfish’s Matthew Kelly join the fold for a vibrant evening of music.

Garcia Live Volume 19 is a two-CD live album by the Jerry Garcia Band. It contains the complete concert recorded on October 31, 1992 at the Oakland Coliseum Arena. It is scheduled to be released on October 28, 2022.

In August 1992 Jerry Garcia, who at the time was in generally poor health, fell ill. The Grateful Dead cancelled a number of concerts planned for late summer and early fall while Garcia began his recovery and pursued a healthier lifestyle. The Halloween show by the Jerry Garcia Band was his first live performance after these events.

The opening act at this concert was Vince Welnick’s band the Affordables.

Two tracks from this recording were previously released. “Ain’t No Bread in the Breadbox” is on the album Shining Star, and “Tangled Up in Blue” is on the album Garcia Plays Dylan.
