New concert repertoire for Les Métaboles: the Johannes Brahms’ Liebeslieder Walzer, one of his most popular works written in 1869 and 1874 for piano four hands and choir. Behind Brahms the Titan, the ambitious heir to Beethoven and Schumann, also stands one of the greatest composers for the choir, a complicit observer of Viennese customs.

Love songs to dance rhythms, these Liebeslieder Walzers express desire, nostalgia, sorrow and fun in the dialogue of hearts. The programme was created with Yoann Héreau and Edoardo Torbanielli, a specialist in period piano interpretation, so as to be as close as possible to the sound the composer had in mind. To this emblematic collection, Léo Warynski added several gems of Brahmsian vocal art, where the colours of his Métaboles shine.
