Zorlu Performing Arts Center (PSM), 10. he announced the program of his new season, in which he celebrated his age, with a press conference yesterday. In addition to Zorlu PSM General Manager Filiz Ova, Fazıl Say, who will open the new season of Zorlu PSM this evening, and cellist Jamal Aliyev, who will accompany him, and media artist Refik Anadol also attended the meeting. The “Tree of Life” suite, which Say composed for cello and piano on the order of Zorlu PSM, will also have its premiere with this concert.

According to Orhun Atmis from Cumhuriyet, Say, who spoke at the meeting, said that PSM has a great duty, especially in the years when the AKM is closed. The master artist, “10. i gladly accepted the offer of a year’s work,” he said, explaining his work as follows: “When the offer first came, there were pandemic conditions, we were closed to houses. It was a time when we couldn’t think about crowded environments. For this reason, I have not made a composition that will be performed by an orchestra of 300-500 people. it can also be a magnificent composition with 1-2 people. Say also told the details of the 5-part suite. The composition, which begins with the ”Hope“ section, ends with the ”Tree of Life”. The master artist, who said that the second part bears the name “My Father Ahmet Say”, also spoke about his sadness that he could not make his father listen to his composition. The third part bears the name of Say’s wife: “Ece”. The fourth part was composed for Say’s mother Ayşe Gürgün Say, who died four years ago. As Say notes, “The Tree of Life”, which is a very personal composition, is also the hundredth work of the artist.

Refik Anadol also said that artificial intelligence will listen to the concert with everyone at the concert, which he described as a “dream” at the meeting, and reveal a work at that moment. Jamal Aliyev, on the other hand, expressed that he was very excited and expressed that he was very happy to go on stage with Say.
