Anna Chedid, sous son nom d’artiste NACH, sort son deuxième album le 24 mai prochain. Outre le fait d’être la fille du chanteur Louis Chedid et la petite sœur de M, Nach est une chanteuse, compositrice et interprète complète. Elle défend ses titres dans une formation piano voix sur une tournée française en plus des premières parties de M de plus de 40 dates sur l’année 2019.

Nach, sort non pas 3 clips, mais un court-métrage regroupant trois chansons de son album «Allo», «Moi tout à toi» et «Dans les yeux de ma mère» en partenariat avec les cinémas MK2. Ce court-métrage est réalisé par Nicolas Bary et fera l’objet d’un événement le 11 avril au cinéma Mk2 au Grand Palais.

Conceiving her debut album, vocalist Naama Gheber summoned inspiration from an intimate life on the New York bandstand. Among tapering red curtains, maple bar tops, snares and brushes, the Be’er Sheva-born artist nightly explored selections from the canon of American standards with her fellow artists – music that would become the centerpiece for Dearly Beloved. As tracks materialized one by one, she observed a lyrical theme emerging, one that presents triumphs, challenges and ultimately changes within the human condition reflected in relationships with others.

Ever since the global tsunami of Happy, following the singer from Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, Pharrell Williams has strongly enhanced his status. Enough for the Virginia Beach musician to take advantage of the situation and take N.E.R.D. out of the freezer, his band which he created with Chad Hugo and drummer Shay Haley at the end of the 90s, following his other band The Neptunes. Silent since their 2010 album Nothing, N.E.R.D. has always allowed his mastermind to blend all of his wettest dreams. Hip-hop, rock, funk, soul, R&B, all the elements of groove are reunited in No_One Ever Really Dies, joined by a Hollywood cast consisting of Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, André 3000 from OutKast, Gucci Mane, Wale, Future, MIA, and Ed Sheeran. Minimalist or XXXL productions, experimental or hit-worthy sounds −Pharrell and his crew orchestrate with their usual virtuosity a wide range of musical works to satisfy both the experts and the masses, the underground scene and the top of the charts. This fifth album sure is hard to resist!

3 years after « Les Insurgés de Romilly », and after having spent some time with PinioL, ni is coming back with a new album in 2019.

While being faithful to his predecessors, but probably a bit darker, Pantophobie explores various fears as a main theme. The massive production is dedicated to head-banging.

With this 4th release (2 EPs and 2 LPs), the quartet crush their cigarettes very hard, dig a hole into the ground, and leave the listeners in ashes.

The band recorded with Herve Faivre, from Igorrr, and worked with Rémy Boy (Gojira, Secret Chief, Ezekiel…) for the mix.

Also a very impressive live band, ni leaves no chance to curious newbies nor to experimented listeners, and it’s with a real joy that we will meet again with one of the most fascinating instrumental bands from the French and European noise rock scene.

Jenő Takács’ works have accompanied generations of beginner instrumental students on their first foray into contemporary music. But also with his works like the Concerto for Piano, Strings, and Percussion Jenö Takács clearly placed himself in a line with the great paragons Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály. Getting to know Bártok further increased the Hungarian element (topicality, rhythm, bitonality) in his compositions. With the impressionist coloring and the influences of Hungarian folk music, studying with Joseph Marx added a strict contrapuntal note to his works. Jenö Takács was a humanist, a “musical cosmopolitan”, an eyewitness of almost the entire 20th century.

Nils Mönkemeyers letztes Album “Vivaldi – Paganini – Tartini” erhielt exzellente Rezensionen und gelangte wie alle seine vergangenen Alben in die deutschen Klassik-Charts. Rbb Kultur wählte das Album zur CD der Woche und nannte Mönkemeyer bei dieser Gelegenheit “einen der führenden Solisten unserer Zeit” und lobte das intelligent gewählte Repertoire mit zahlreichen Neuheiten.
Auf dem neuen Album von Mönkemeyer, welches er mit Pianist William Youn einspielte, sind nur Ersteinspielungen zu hören, die speziell für Nils Mönkemeyer und William Youn von Komponistin Konstantia Gourzi geschrieben wurden.
Mit der 1962 geborenen, in München lebenden Komponistin Konstantia Gourzi sind beide Musiker befreundet, alle drei verbindet eine besondere Liebe zur Natur. Einen Bezug zur Natur haben auch fast alle Werke auf dem Album “Whispers”. Denn Konstantia Gourzi möchte mit ihrer Musik Wertschätzung und Sensibilität für die Natur vermitteln und inspirieren, über die Schönheit der Natur nachzudenken. Stücke wie “call of the bees”, “messages between trees” oder “melodies from the sea” lassen durch ausdrucksstarke Klangfiguren, Rhythmen, Tempi und Timbres die Geschichten und Stimmen von Walen, Bienen, Wellen und Bäumen erahnen. Der Großteil der Werke auf dem Album ist für Bratsche und Klavier geschrieben. Es gibt aber auch stimmungsvolle Soli für Bratsche bzw. Klavier wie “wind whispers””. Die Komponistin selbst ist bei zwei Werken Teil der Aufnahme. Auf “evening at the window II” sowie “melodies from the sea” spielt Konstantia Gourzi Schlagzeuginstrumente.
“Whispers” ist ein Album mit interessanten, klangvollen, atmosphärischen Musikstücken und einem aktuellen Bezug zu einem wichtigen Thema unserer Zeit.

Malipiero viewed the soloist in his concerto as a voice rising in a crowd; the mysterious and autumnal L’Olmeneta is the largest and most individual of Ghedini’s cello works; and Casella’s Notturno e tarantella is a sunny piece, expertly orchestrated.

Entrants can try their hand at reworking Wonder or 3D Warrior, both of which feature renowned British jazz saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings and Brooklyn sonic shaman Haile Supreme on instruments.

Two winners will be chosen – one for each track – and the prizes include an official release via the artist’s own label, HiyaSelf Recordings Unlimited, as well as a digital release of the remix. The tracks will also be played at Nightmare on Wax’s upcoming residency at Phonox, London in April.

The competition will be judged by Nightmares On Wax, Paul Woolford, Mala and Ralph Moore of Mixmag. Entries from all over the world and participants from all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome, with just one rule: you can’t be signed in a long term deal with any record label.
