World-renowned pianist LANG LANG continues his celebration of composer Franz Liszt’s 200th Birthday with LISZT NOW. The new video features Live at The Roundhouse, a 60-minute live concert from the 2011 iTunes Festival in London and The Art of Being a Virtuoso, a 71-minute documentary following Lang Lang’s global celebrations of Franz Liszt’s anniversary. On July 1st, 2011, Montreux hosted the reunion of two master guitarists, Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin, with their Invitation To Illumination concert. The show features most of the tracks from their classic 1973 album Love Devotion Surrender mixed in with a wealth of other material. The evening was a showcase of supreme musical virtuosity and spirituality and typified the approach of these two great artists. It is certainly a performance not to be missed.

On June 7th, Europe took the stage in their home country Sweden for a very special occasion: celebrating 30 years of rock music. The Swedish rock band celebrated this event together with 30,000 people at the famous Sweden Rock Festival, playing a total selection of 28 songs, picking their personal favourite moments spanning from their earlier years up to their most recent songs taken from albums like “Last Look At Eden” and “Bag Of Bones”; for the lovers of statistics and rarities some of the songs had never been played live before. The bombastic greatest hits show also has its soulful moment when the band sits down for an emotional acoustic set which gives the massive arena show a club feeling before the band goes back to the hard rock they are known for. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry joined, with Swift set to perform from Australia and Perry roaring in from Canada. The rest of the lineup, which will perform live at the Nokia Theater in L.A., includes Lorde, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Keith Urban and Robin Thicke. The latter will take the stage for “Blurred Lines” alongside rapper T.I. and Earth, Wind and Fire. R&B artist Miguel will sing Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” alongside Urban, Rolling Stone reports. Two-time Grammys host LL Cool J will host the event for the sixth consecutive year.
Grammy producers also said that the show will feature special tribute to Nelson Mandela, who died Thursday at the age of 95, according to CBS News.
