After 20 plus years of collaboration that has resulted in eight Grammy nominations and countless performances in some of the finest venues in the world, the L.A.-based Tierney Sutton Band has set their sights on the wide-ranging panorama of 20th century American film music by releasing an ambitious, 19-track collection of songs called ScreenPlay. The band gained firsthand experience in this idiom in 2016 when they were tapped by legendary director Clint Eastwood to score his box office hit Sully. Inspired by the powerful combination of music and film, The Tierney Sutton Band returned to the studio and 19 tracks were born, all with the trademark attention to detail that has resulted in a time-tested and proven musical result. “In a sense this is the most organic project we’ve ever done”, says Sutton. The arrangements and Sutton’s readings of the songs are pure Tierney Sutton Band at the height of it’s powers, subtly illuminating and revolutionizing each classic.

This is the debut album from Quebec-based Trio de lÎle, a young ensemble of exceptional talent, comprising Uliana Drugova (violin), Dominique Beauséjour-Ostiguy (cello) and Patil Harboyan (piano). The group was founded in 2015, and the three members have all enjoyed success in their careers to date, as performers and teachers. The Piano Trio in F sharp minor (1952) by Armenian composer Arno Babadjanian (1921-1983) is widely considered one of the greatest masterpieces of the genre; the Andante a particularly beautiful and much-loved melody.. The work is joined by another Armenian piece, the trio (1945) by Gayané Chebotaryan (1918-1998), which has stronger inspiration from the Armenian folk inflections familiar in the music of Khachaturian as well as the Russian classical tradition. As a contrast we have the Four Seasons of Buenos Aires from 1960 by Argentinian legend Astor Piazzolla, the composer who revolutionized the tango, turning it from a steamy dance into a true art form. Lively, exotic and highly rhythmic, these pieces embody the Latin spirit totally. The arrangement for piano trio is by cellist José Bragato, a member of Piazzollas own Octet.

This recording is the first to be made by Trio Dali with its new violinist, Jack Liebeck. After a Ravel programme in 2009, then a Schubert disc, the Trio turns its talents to the two Mendelssohn trios and transcriptions of Bach. The Trio Dali has thus chosen to contrast Mendelssohn’s two trios with works by a composer for whose rediscovery Mendelssohn was largely responsible in his time: Johann Sebastian Bach. Thus, the Trio Dali proposes a recording that is a sort mirroring of Mendelssohn and Bach.

The new release by the acclaimed Trio Apollon concentrates on Max Bruch’s (1838-1920) music for clarinet, viola, and piano.In 1990, Felix Schwartz, 1st principal violist of the Staatskapelle Berlin; Matthias Glander, 1st solo clarinettist of the Staatskapelle Berlin; and Wolfgang Kühnl, professor of piano and chamber music at Berlin University joined to form the Trio Apollon. Little did they know the musical success they would experience, with 2015 marking the 25th anniversary of the ensemble, unchanged in its line-up. Trio Apollon have gained an enviable international reputation, exhibiting their great virtuosity and unmistakable, warm sound at performances in the Berlin State Opera, New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, Tokyo, London and Paris. Numerous highly acclaimed CD recordings were performed by the trio. Trio Apollon’s album ‘Water Games’ (Warner Classics), with works by Françaix, Poulenc, Enescu, Kurtág and Matthus, received the ECHO Klassik 2006 for the best chamber music recording. Since 1998, Trey Anastasio has toured and recorded with several backup musicians, including several side-projects organized and led by the guitarist and composer. While active, his bands did not have a name. Fans commonly referred to them as Trey Anastasio Band, or TAB for short. Through its brief history, Trey Anastasio’s band continued to add members, starting as a trio and ending as a dectet.
In the fall of 2012 Trey’s touring band, Trey Anastasio Band, returned to the road in support of Traveler, which also features many members of the band. From it’s beginnings in 1998 the band has included original members Russ Lawton (drums), and Tony Markellis (bass), and over the years has added Cyro Baptista (percussion), Ray Paczkowski (keys), Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet, vocals), Natalie Cressman (trombone, vocals). The latest tour featured new-comer James Casey (saxophones, vocals).

A baroque harp called arpa doppia (meaning double harp). It was an instrument that strongly fascinated people, coloring all kinds of music, including vocal, instrumental, religious, and secular music. Although much of its history is ambiguous, it was written by V. Galilei (father of astronomer Galilei and a music theorist). Shortly before 1580, his double-stringed harp (corresponding to the white and black keys on a keyboard) containing semitones arrived in Italy. It seems that it was conveyed. In the early 17th century, he devised an instrument with three strings (corresponding to white keys, black keys, and white keys). All six of his composers included here are from or have ties to Naples. Although they are rarely mentioned in the “Harp”, they ushered in a new style of keyboard music and greatly expanded the possibilities of the harp. It is notable for its openness. But why “keyboard” and “harp”? The strong relationship between the two is. It might be better to say that they are like “earth” and “sky.” Clouds absorb moisture and heat from the earth. As if painting a sky pattern, the harp underwent a major transformation into his three-string structure in search of perfection as a keyboard instrument.

Be My Guest is an EP that gathers a constellation of emotions born from meetings and confrontations between personalities.
His influences are broad, from electronic (Just Fine, And On) to Hip Hop (A Qui l’Honneur, How I Feel, Be My Guest), or classical through jazz or gospel (Gone Away, Living Waters).
His switch from organic to analogical sounds defines him as a master in harmonies.
February 2018, hospitalized urgently after his health suddenly let go, Ténéré passes a ten days in a hospital bed. Forced to rest and in a form of confinement, the themes of the fragility of the body and the grace of life shake the cerebral life of the producer who, weaned from his machines, is surprised to write some lyrics and melodies associated.
Once restored, he gives body to the piece and makes contact with Sabrina Bellaouel to send to her a beat. The two artists do not know each other, but their worlds come together undeniably in this composition. And since everything is better, the artistic and human connection is in evidence and they decide to finish the title with 4 hands.
Done within a few weeks, Gone Away is an iconoclastic ballad that combines Gospel with Electro, it tells the fragility of life, the ephemerality of our condition, and the beauty that emerges, like this hyacinth taken from his hospital bed, which can be seen on the cover.
This collaboration armed him with a strong identity, marrying RnB and electronic music through baroque accents.
