Winter is an EP by Weezer, the fourth and final in the SZNZ series of EPs. Following WEEZER’s 2021 metal-influenced album, “Van Weezer”, the Los Angeles rock band announced they would release a four-EP series in 2022. This wasn’t just any series, either, as the band’s “SZNZ” series would have releases dropping on the first day of each new season.

SZNZ: Autumn is an EP by Weezer, the third (of four) releases in the SZNZ series. It is set to release on September 22, 2022. The EP is produced by Tyler Cole and Suzy Shinn.
According to Rivers Cuomo, the record’s sound reflects ‘dance-rock’ artists such as Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes”.
The album’s thematic and aesthetic location is described as being set in “The Mount of Beatitudes”, with its associated era being passion and the last supper, along with the Salem Witch Trials.
The EP was officially confirmed by the band on September 14, with the album cover and track list being posted on various social media platforms on September 19.

SZNZ: Summer is the second instalment in one of the bands most exciting projects to date: SZNZ, a four EP song cycle of sorts. Already mythical across the internet, SZNZ will, fittingly, be released at the start of every season. Each EP offers its own palette of colours, creatures, and emotions to explore. They’re also being created in real time, made in tandem with the season themselves. The projects lead single “Records” is a big classic Weezer rock song, with a chorus built around thunderous drums, chunky power chords and a memorable melody about songs that get stuck in your head, which is exactly what this one is sure to do.

Weezer’s self-titled, tenth studio album (referred to as “The White Album”) is here! The first single from the highly anticipated album, Thank God For Girls (“insanely catchy new single” – NPR), has charted across multiple genres and is currently sitting in the top 10 at alternative radio.
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Weezer has sold over nine million albums in the U.S. and over 17 million records worldwide. The alt-rock band has proven themselves a force in the industry with a 20-year catalog.

90’s alt-rockers Weezer come back this year with their tenth studio album, which is the fourth album in their ongoing series of color-themed self-titled albums, with this one being the color white. The album influenced by their home state of California and the beach, it reflects a sunny sound.

Weezer are no strangers to familiar takes on pop classics they did The Monkees’ “I’m a Believer” for Shrek and The Cars’ “You Might Think” for Cars 2. But after a fan’s successful viral campaign to get them to cover Toto’s “Africa” gave them their biggest hit in ages, they made a project of it with ground rules. Inspired by Phil Collins’ version of “You Can’t Hurry Love,” they would stick to largely faithful readings of pre-’90s songs and avoid alt-rock peers as well as obvious classic-rock staples like “Hotel California.” “We don’t wanna be a bar band,” Rivers Cuomo tells Apple Music. “The Teal Album is what was left.” Cuomo and guitarist Brian Bell explain their picks for this set of other people’s greatest hits.

Weezer (The Black Album) was produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek, with whom the band worked for the first time. The album’s songs were entirely written on piano by frontman Rivers Cuomo for the first time in Weezer history, creating some of the most satisfyingly awesome songs in the entire hits-filled Weezer catalogue. With band members switching up instruments in the studio, and choruses filtered through Sitek’s own encyclopedic musical references of everything from Gorillaz to Can to Pink Floyd, Weezer (The Black Album) is the bold next step in the winning streak of acclaimed albums they’ve released since 2014.

Fourteenth studio album by the American rock band. In February 2019, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo began working on new songs with a hard rock influence, in contrast to the pop rock and electropop sound that had been featured on the band’s previous albums ‘Pacific Daydream’ (2017), the ‘Teal Album’ (2019), and the then-upcoming ‘Black Album’ (2019). In an interview that month with Entertainment Weekly, Cuomo mentioned that an album tentatively titled ‘Van Weezer’ was in the works, and that it would take the band ‘back to big guitars’. The album features the single ‘The End of the Game’.

Following the release of “Weezer (The White Album)”, the band began working on what they called “The Black Album,” but as they worked, they found the songs they were writing felt more like reveries from a beach at the end of the world. Instead of forcing a different direction, they began an entirely new album; “Pacific Daydream” was born. “Pacific Daydream” – an album full of the melodic mastery and craftsmanship for which Weezer are known – is a record that navigates the uncertainty between reality and dreams, blurring the line between the listener knowing if they are daydreaming the world of the album, or if the world of the album is daydreaming them. It’s a record about finding the gray area between the black and the white, about escaping the everyday into the fantasy of what may be just down the line, but also maybe isn’t. It’s an album that sounds like the Beach Boys and The Clash fell in love by the ocean and had one hell of an amazing baby.
