Following on from their tour for debut LP Nothing Happens in 2019 and 2020, Wallows began working on their second album. This process was slowed after COVID-19 reached the United States, forcing the band to go into isolation. Even still, the three-piece continued to write and preview unreleased songs throughout the lockdown period.

On September 9, 2020 Wallows announced their second EP Remote would release on October 23. The entire EP was recorded whilst the band was in isolation (separately). The first single, “Nobody Gets Me (Like You)” was released minutes after the band’s announcement.

Recorded at Los Angeles’ Sargent Studios, the album sees Wallows reunited with Grammy award-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Alvvays, Future Islands) and captures the band’s journey towards adulthood through 11 intimate, introspective tracks.
