Skalpel’s “Big Band Live” brings mellow, smoky vibes, hypnotic grooves and vibrant, occasionally blissful mood. Polish jazz at its best! This live album was recorded at a sold out show in Warsaw where Skalpel’s founders, Igor Pudlo and Marcin Cichy, were joined on stage by virtuoso Big Band led by Patryk Pilasiewicz. Big Band re-imagined Skalpel’s classics in a spirit of collective improvisation but also with an respectful attitude toward the originals.
