The German orchestral scenery is quite unique in the world as you can fi nd many orchestras of high quality even in the smaller cities. These also include the Aachen Symphony Orchestra that had a stroke of luck with appointing Marcus Bosch as conductor in 2002. This box also includes the „study“ Symphony in f minor and the Symphony in d minor („No. 0“/Annulled) which have not been released before.

Further works by Parfenov include a Violin Concerto on the subject of war, peace and human symbiosis, and a reflection on the life of a remarkable avant-garde painter in his Malevich-Suite. Completing the framework for this recording is Tchaikovsky’s orchestral suite Mozartiana, which spotlights Mozart’s little-known smaller pieces to charming effect.
