Japanese harpist Naoko Yoshino was born in London, and started her harp studies with Susann McDonald at the age of six in Los Angeles. In 1981, she received the Second Prize at the First International Harp Competition in Rome. In 1985, at the age of seventeen, she was the First Prize Winner at the Ninth International Harp Contest in Israel.

The Japanese harpist Naoko Yoshino has performed with orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Concentus Musicus in Vienna, Philadelphia, Leipzig, or Zürich – which such illustrious names as Harnoncourt, Menuhin, Mehta, Ozawa, Blomstedt, Kremer, Hagen, Rampal… Upon their first meeting in 2013, Naoko felt as if she had found her ‘musical soul mate’ in Roberto Forés Veses and the Orchestre d’Auvergne.
