Salvatore Di Vittorio is seen as heir to the Italian neo-Classical orchestral tradition with a narrative style notable for its colourful orchestration and “swelling lyricism” (American Record Guide). Music Kitchen was founded in 2005 by Kelly Hall-Tompkins as the first organization to bring top artists to perform in homeless shelters. In over 100 concerts featuring over 200 artists, including Emanuel Ax and Albrecht Mayer, the uplifting power of music has reached over 30,000 residents of homeless shelters between New York and Los Angeles.
