若き日のハイドシェックによる名盤が格調高く蘇る!自在さと曲調が見事に調和した名演を世界初SACD化。第24番はLP以来の復活!来日50周年記念
録音数が膨大なモーツァルト録音の中にあってもその存在が決して色褪せないばかりか、数多くの方々に支持され続けている、エリック・ハイドシェックの若き日の「モーツァルト:ピアノ協奏曲集」をSACDハイブリッド盤3枚組でリリースします。今年(2018年)、第21番の一部を含むプログラムで来日公演が行われるにあたり、その活動初期である旧EMIへの6曲をまとめてセット化し、限定数で復刻いたします。6曲のうち、特にステレオ音源の4曲に関しては、未だにこの演奏でなければ、というような熱心なファンも多くいる、稀に見る録音です。これらの音源は1957年12月に第24番から録音がスタートし、同時に第21番も録音。その後60年6月に再開し第20番と第23番を、さらに1年後の61年9月に第25番、最後に第27番が当時の仏EMIによって収録されました。
コルトー(1877-1962)の愛弟子のひとりであるハイドシェック(1936-)は最初の録音時わずか21歳。1954年にパリ国立高等音楽院を卒業し、翌年フランスでデビュー。パリでその実力が早くから認められ、1960年にはアメリカ・デビューも飾ります。最初の録音の2曲はモノラル録音ということもあってか、CD時代では復刻が遅れましたが(第21番は2006年1月にタワー他の企画盤で初CD化。第24番はこれまで未CD)、ステレオ録音の4曲はこれらの曲の代表的な演奏のひとつとして、廉価盤での復刻が多かったこともあり、多くのリスナーに浸透しました。一概にモーツァルト演奏は型がある訳ではないにしろ、ハイドシェックのピアノは縦横無尽に動きまわり、即興性と良い意味でのスリルにまず感銘を受けます。一方でその響きの柔軟さと粋な表情が天才的であり、演奏は情感的でありながらも細かな神経が行きわたっているという、奇跡的な演奏ということも支持され続けている由縁のひとつでしょう。そして忘れてならないのは、バックのパリ音楽院管弦楽団とヴァンデルノートによる配慮が行き届いた伴奏であり、このコンビなくしては名演と呼べないほどの役割を担っています。そこには感情に興じる姿は一切なく、この若手ピアニストを心底支える確固たる決心が垣間見えます。
サル・ワグラムでセッション録音されたこれらの音源は、当時のオケの音色を十全に感じ取れる録音であり、特に木管楽器の音色は絶品です。ハイドシェックの繊細なタッチやバックとの対比、ヴァンデルノートによる細かな表情付けも、鮮度が高くなった今回の復刻でより堪能できるレベルになりました。SACD層ではより一層高い解像度でこの世紀の名演を楽しむことができます。今回の復刻のために、本国のオリジナル・マスターから96kHz/24bitでデジタル化したマスターを用い、SACD層、CD層別々にマスタリングを新規で行いました。永久保存盤です。(1/2)

Éric Heidsieck, gave his first recital at the age of 9 in Reims and his first concert with orchestra a year later. In 1954, he finished the class of Marcel Ciampi in the first place; then took his first lessons with Alfred Cortot at l’Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. Parallel to that, he attended the courses of Wilhelm Kempff on L.v. Beethoven in Positano.

Éric Charles Heidsieck (born 21 August 1936) is a French classical pianist.
Born in Reims, Heidsieck gave his first recital at the age of nine and his first concert with orchestra a year later.
He studied with Marcel Ciampi then Alfred Cortot and followed Wilhelm Kempff’s lessons on Beethoven.
In 1959, he won the Grand Prix du Disque (EMI) for the recording of Mozart’s Concerto No. 21 and No. 24. The following year, he and his wife Tania, also a pianist, founded a duo that shone on stages around the world.
In 1969, Heidsieck was the first French pianist of the 20th century to give, by memory and in public, Beethoven’s 32 Sonatas, which he recorded with EMI Classics between 1970 and 1974 and again ten years later, then in 1997. He specializes in the performance and recording of integrals.
