The Austrian-based pianist, Pavle Krstic (1998), has been credited with “individuality, sensitivity, lyricism, as well as dramatic and expressive” playing. He performs as a soloist, chamber musician and with orchestra, works on arrangements and orchestrations, and focuses on an analytical approach to the interpretation of piano music. Since the winter semester of 2022 he is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Musicology of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

Pavle has given numerous piano recitals, the first at the age of 12, and has performed at important events in over 20 different countries. His most notable performance with orchestra was the integral performance of both Chopin piano concertos at the age of 17 in the Kolarac Concert Hall in Belgrade. He has also released two CDs: the first for ArtLink in 2017 and the second for OnClassical in 2022.

Pavle received scholarships and awards from the University Mozarteum Salzburg and various music festivals and academies, such as the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein, where he performed and attended master classes with recognized pianists and professors. He is the recipient of the “Wärdigungspreis 2021” of the Austrian Ministry of Education and the “ArtLink Most Promising Young Music Artist for 2016” award. Furthermore, he has won more than 40 prizes at international piano competitions, including “Concours international de piano Lagny-sur-Marne”, “Neuhaus Festival”, “Chopin Golden Ring”, “Junior Piano Academy Appiano”, “Horowitz Piano Competition” (Kiev), “International Piano Competition for Young Musicians” (Enschede), “Concours International Piano Campus” (Pontoise), “Concours International de Piano à Mayenne”, International Competition of the “Arthur Rubinstein Institute” in Marbella, “Ferrara Piano Festival”, “Juliusz Zarebski International Music Competition”, “Premio Annarosa Taddei”, “ArtePiano Competition”, “Chopin International Piano Competition” (Hartford), “Delia Steinberg International Piano Competition” (Madrid), and others.

Pavle completed his Bachelor, Master and Postgraduate piano studies in the class of Prof. Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he is currently pursuing a PhD with Prof. Barbara Dobretsberger.
