‘Ghost City’ was written over the course of two years, between the bands tours in Europe, Japan and Mexico, before heading to Northern Italy to record it. “We figured it was the same price to record in Italy, so we brought our friend and producer Mark Roberts along for the ride,” says Devin Yuceil (vocals/guitar), “we booked a bunch of shows on the way down which pretty much covered our recording costs, which also meant that we had around a week of playing the new material everyday leading to the studio, a luxury we don’t often have.”

Only Santa Knows is the sixth studio album and the first full-length Christmas album by Australian singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem. It was released on 13 November 2020 through Sony Music Australia. It is Goodrem’s second Christmas release, after 2012’s Christmas EP. The album includes two original tracks and 11 covers, including “Silent Night” with Gurrumul, which was recorded in 2014 and included on The Spirit of Christmas 2014.
The album was reissued on 19 November 2021 in a deluxe edition format containing four new additional tracks.

I Honestly Love You is the soundtrack to the Australian biographical miniseries Olivia: Hopelessly Devoted to You, the first part of which screened on the Seven Network on 13 May 2018, with the second part to air on 20 May 2018. The miniseries tells the story of Olivia Newton-John, an Australian singer, songwriter and actress. The soundtrack comprises the star of the series, Delta Goodrem, performing covers of iconic songs from Newton-John’s career and was released in Australia on 11 May 2018.
Upon announcement, Goodrem said “Having Olivia as a friend for all these years has been such an incredible gift. From a young age, she was an artist I admired and looked up to.”[2]
The album was announced and available for pre-order on 29 April 2018[3] and came with the pre-order duet “Love Is a Gift”, to which Newton-John explains “When we wrote “Love Is a Gift”, we wrote it as a love song. Now, when [Delta and I] sing it, it’s about friendship and love between friends and so it still has the same meaning; it’s just a different time for the song.

2013 marks the 10th anniversary of hit Australian artist Delta Goodrem’s debut album Innocent Eyes. Released in 2003, this fantastic album claims various records, including being the most successful Australian album of its generation, spending 29 weeks at number one on the ARIA charts (7.5 months), being certified 15 times platinum and producing five number one singles. This was quite a debut from Australian sweetheart Delta, who was only 18 years old at the time of release, as no other album by any other artist has sold more copies in Australia than Innocent Eyes since 2003.

Delphine Galou is renowned and admired for her musicality and her appealing timbre. She has taken part in many productions of Baroque music and recordings of operas (notably by Vivaldi), but this is her first recital. It is a programme of sacred music, motets, cantatas and excerpts from oratorios, which in the course of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries were influenced by the increasingly fashionable genre of opera. From the famous ‘Agitata infido flatu’ from Vivaldi’s oratorio Juditha triumphans, here counterpointed by an aria from another setting of the story of Judith composed by Jommelli, to Stradella’s Lamentations and Porpora’s magnificent motet ‘In procella sine stella’, Delphine Galou covers a wide range of spiritual emotions. She is accompanied by the excellent Accademia Bizantina under its director and harpsichordist Ottavio Dantone. A concerto by Gregori and a sinfonia by Caldara complete this release, which includes several world premiere recordings.

It was when Delphine Constantin-Reznik took up the post as harpist in the Norrk”oping Symphony Orchestra that she first came across the name Anton Pratt’e, well-known in his lifetime as a harpist and composer. Her research into the music and activities of this forgotten master has now resulted in the very first recording of any of his numerous compositions for the harp. Anton Edvard Pratt’e was born in Bohemia into a family that ran a touring puppet theatre. He came to Sweden as an adolescent, and soon made a name for himself, performing music of his own as well as by others. Pratt’e gave concerts across Sweden, as well as in Norway and Finland, and in the 1840s even went on an extensive tour of Europe, performing in Berlin (where members of the Prussian royal family were in the audience), Vienna and Prague. But much of his life was spent in the area around Norrk”oping where he taught the daughters of wealthy landowners and for a while conducted the local orchestra society – the forerunner of the Norrk”oping Symphony Orchestra heard in the Grand Concert which opens the present disc. This is followed by two works for solo harp, both making use of traditional tunes from Sweden and Norway respectively.

A masterpiece of the ‘semi-opera’. In 1692, on the strength of the immense success of Dido & Aeneas and King Arthur, Purcell went on to produce The Fairy Queen, based on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer-Night’s Dream.
The work is, in fact a ‘semi-opéra’, or ‘opera with dialogue’, in which only some of the crucial scenes are provided with music. But this version of A Midsummer-Night’s Dream by the ‘Orpheus Britannicus’ became almost as famous as the play that inspired it, with its love scenes, its supernatural scenes and its innate sense of musical humour investing it with an irresistible savour and enchantment.

Alfred Deller tirelessly promoted his core repertoire of Elizabethan lute songs and Purcell throughout his career. This recital anthology was recorded at Provence only three months before Deller’s death at Bologna on 16 July 1979.
Some of the most familiar songs here, such as ‘Fairest Isle’, were originally conceived as operatic music for soprano voice but one cannot imagine that Purcell would have minded Deller taking the music out of context, adapting if desirable and making it his own.
