Thomas Enhco is a pianist and composer and experimented with music in its full range from an early age: classical and popular music, written and improvised. His stepfather, the violinist Didier Lockwood, introduced him to the world of great jazz musicians. He was already immersed in the intensity of the clubs as a child and felt equally comfortable as a jazz pianist, classical soloist or composer.

The band began working on this album in 2019, shortly after their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, but it was delayed by the Pandemic – they strongly prefer to record together and capture a live band performance in the studio (just as they had to do in the 1960’s). Brubeck in Amsterdam is a 1962 live album by Dave Brubeck and his quartet recorded on 3 December at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, though unreleased until 1969.
A live gem from the classic Dave Brubeck Quartet – and a great reminder that the group could almost be even more exciting in a concert setting than on their studio albums! The date is 1962, and the combo is in perfect form – sublime alto from Paul Desmond, and always-inventive rhythms from Joe Morello on drums and Eugene Wright on bass – fused perfectly with Dave’s piano, but also very open and spontaneous here – with this extra sort of crackle that makes us know that although working at the level of perfection, these guys are still just mere mortals too! The set features a 12 minute take on “Brandenburg Gate” with a solo by Desmond that’s simply stunning – and other cuts include “Since Love Had Its Way”, “King For A Day”, “Good Reviews”, and “Cultural Exchange”.

Giuliano Palma and the Bluebeaters are a rising cover band in Italy and perform a mix of reggae, ska and rocksteady. Formed in 1994, the Bluebeaters comprises musicians of the Italian groups Casino Royale (Giuliano Palma, Ferdinando Masi, Patrick Benifei), of Africa Unite (Bunna, Paolo Parpaglione, Cato Senatore) and of the Fratelli di Soledad (Zorro).

At the end of 2012 singer Giuliano Palma left the band to pursue his solo career. In September 2013 original band members (with Pat Cosmo on vocals) reunited as The Bluebeaters for a concert in Turin, Italy. Next December they did the first tour in years, ReTOURn, celebrating the band’s comeback.
In June 2014 The Bluebeaters released their comeback single “Toxic/Catch That Teardrop” on Record Kicks. A tour celebrating their 20th anniversary followed, with the band appearing in Italy as well as in European festivals.
