No Blues[a] is the fifth studio album by Welsh indie rock band Los Campesinos!. It was released on 29 October 2013 via Wichita Recordings, Turnstile and Heart Swells. The album was produced by John Goodmanson and guitarist Tom Bromley, and is the first to not feature founding bassist Ellen Waddell, who amicably left the group in late 2012.
The first single, “What Death Leaves Behind”, was released as a free download on the band’s SoundCloud page on 29 August 2013. The second single, “Avocado, Baby”, was released on 8 October 2013.

On 10th January 1963 sessions were completed at London’s Kingsway Hall for this world premiere recording of Britten’s War Requiem. Sixty years later, Decca have made new high definition 24-bit/192 kHz transfers of the original quarter-inch stereo mastertapes at British Grove Studios. Conducted by the composer and featuring the three soloists for whom it was written, this still remains, for many, the definitive recording. The vinyl is cut to lacquer at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios, and this is the first LP release of the secret recording of Britten’s rehearsals for the War Requiem since the sole pressing gifted by Decca to Britten on his 50th birthday in November 1963. The truly expansive booklet includes excerpts from John Culshaw’s autobiography Putting the Record Straight; reminiscences from three of the original 1963 Decca recording crew; technical notes; detailed essays on the War Requiem and the recording sessions; and rare and new photographs.

‘Elements‘ is the label debut by emerging German composer & producer Linus Alberg. The eight tracks were recorded in fall 2022/winter 2023 in his home studio in Augsburg with trumpet by Matthias Lindermayr. The pieces were initially inspired by the changing of the seasons, created through extended improvisations and experimentations on a Yamaha Upright Piano. As melodies and structures emerged, stories grew for each of the tracks around objects, places and moments he’d collected during the writing process. With these stories, Alberg’s soundworld grew richer and the piano was joined by tastefully layered synths, harmonium and trumpet. The result is a collection of reflective yet upbeat instrumental tracks with a sonic universe that is entirely his own.

In the second half of the seventeenth century, London experienced an artistic golden age, with the arrival of many foreign musicians and the proliferation of theatres and concert halls where audiences came to listen to the stars of the moment. One of these musicians was the Italian Nicola Matteis, who arrived around 1660 and became the sensation of the London music scene. Purcell was only a child at the time and there is no record of their meeting, but it is very likely that he was familiar with Matteis’s works, including his Ayres , recorded here for the first time in a version for four-part consort. Exploration of this London effervescence yields to some surprising discoveries, such as the music of a mysterious composer who published trio sonatas around 1715 under the name Mrs Philarmonica. Le Consort presents the very first recording of this highly interesting music, probably influenced by Corelli and very likely written by a woman composer who, given the conventions of the time, made use of a pseudonym. Her true identity is unfortunately unknown to us.
