From his hometown of Pfaffenhofen to Munich and Krakow, Michael Kornas studied at the Academy of Music and is now an integral part of the local jazz scene. You can assign it to the Modern Jazz category. 31.03 His second album “Apatheia” will be released on Unit Records, along with Grigoris Theodoridis on bass and Panagiotis Themas on drums. The focus here is on empathy for music. Different musical concepts, memorable melodies, as well as new timbre merge with each other, forming authentic pieces that leave listeners touching and inspiring. Michael Kornas is the winner of the “Transatlantyk Instant Composition” 2020 contest and currently lives in Berlin.
