Riverside mastermind Mariusz Duda with his fourth solo album ‘AFR AI D‘.

Despite his impressive versatility as a multi-instrumentalist, Mariusz Duda has always been fascinated by telling a story, an idea or a concept. While he wanted to capture a moment of life during the pandemic on his previous album “Lockdown Trilogy”, this time the renowned progressive master thinker is exploring the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) as a troublemaker.

The new solo album looks at the growing commercialization of AI, in particular the entry of artificial intelligence into the mainstream. Using the idea of ChatGPT and Midjourney as well as the increasing use of deepfakes as a starting point, “AFR AI D” explores these interesting and forward-looking theories both musically and conceptually.

The album begins with the menacing sounds of the appropriately titled “Taming Nightmares”, which serves as a musical guide for this new era of machine learning. It is followed by an allusion to “Interstellar” with “Fake Me Deep, Murf” and later by something reminiscent of “TRON” with “Mid Journey To Freedom”.
