The Colors of Here… this first album marked a before and after in my career as a musician and composer. That’s why, twenty years and a few records later, I’m proud to present to you this unreleased recording where my roots, my family, my friends and my hometown are anchored. It also testifies to the complicity and admiration for artists that I love and with whom I have the pleasure of playing even today. Marc Berthoumieux

“The Colors of Here” was Marc Berthoumieux’s first album. Dedicated by Marcel Azzola and Didier Lockwood, Nominated for the Django d’Or, Four stars Jazzman, Disc of the month in Jazz Magazine, Fip selection and on the front page in the specialized press for the accordion, with this first opus: there was a before and after for the accordionist and composer. No less than four titles have become songs for different performers and others have accompanied radio credits or images in theaters or on television. The repertoire of this album will have permeated its time and remains regularly played to this day.
