Born in Horn in 1986 and living in Vienna, guitarist Klaus Haidl is at home in early music as well as jazz and transdisciplinary contemporary music. He is particularly interested in the interplay between improvisation and composition, for example in his interpretation of Martin Daske’s foliante 31 (2010), a sculptural extension of graphic notation into the third dimension using color and movable and transparent materials.
