Revered ARIA Award-winning folk jazz trio Elixir announce the release of their fourth album, A Small Shy Truth, based on the poetry of iconic Australian poet, cartoonist, writer, painter, philosopher and National Living Treasure Michael Leunig.

Leunig’s gentle yet poignant commentary on the human experience explores the fragile ecosystem of human nature and its relationship to the wider natural world, celebrating innocence and beauty. To match Leunig’s quirky, uncompromisingly honest lyrics, Elixir has created 10 stunning original tracks full of joy and hope, a perfect vehicle for Katie Noonan’s unique, ethereally beautiful voice. National Jazz Award-winning Zac Hurren provides his mellifluous, lyrical saxophone lines, with fellow Freedman Jazz Fellowship winner, guitarist Ben Hauptmann, rounding out the trio.
