“Visions” is the 1983 album by the iconic Gladys Knight And The Pips and released by Columbia Records. The group were quite resilient during their 38-year run and they would bounce back with this major chartbuster. The release of their gold album “Visions” included the #1 R&B smash “Save The Overtime (For Me)”. Originally, Visions was a 10-song vinyl LP, but with this deluxe 30th anniversary edition of Visions, FunkyTownGrooves generously expands the album to a two-CD set. Includes 23 Bonus Tracks of which 13 are Un-Released from the Recording Sessions.

Leon Sylvers produced one of the finest uptempo hits Gladys Knight & the Pips ever made in “Save the Overtime for Me.” It was the kind of jubilant, celebratory, rousing performance that had marked their best Motown singles, and it put some fresh life into what had become a stagnant group. The rest of this album wasn’t that good, but it hardly mattered. They got a follow-up number five single, another chart hit with a third release, and were back in the game.
