He graduated with honors from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of music in Katowice at the vocal and acting faculty, in the class of prof. Felix Widera. In 1996, he received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Arts, and in 1997-a competitive DAAD scholarship allowing him to continue his postgraduate studies at the Higher School of music in Karlsruhe (diploma with distinction).
He is a finalist of the ADA Sari International Vocal Art Competition in Nowy Sącz, one of the winners of the Kiejstut Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition in łódź and the Lucia Popp International Vocal Competition in Bratislava.
In 1998, he took part in the recording of Raul Koczalski’s album Songs and duets, released by the Selene label. Since 1999, he has participated in master classes conducted by such singers as Hilde Zadek, Gundula Janowitz, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Cornelius L. Reid.
Since 2000 he has been an assistant professor at the vocal and instrumental faculty at the Academy of music in Katowice. He conducts a lively artistic activity, successfully performing song, oratorical and opera repertoire, old and modern music.
