Tomonori Sato is an alumnus of the Tokyo University of the Arts. He has won various awards, including the Acanthus Music Prize, 1st place in the 16th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, 2nd place in the 69th and 72nd Music Competition of Japan, the 2nd Lieksa International Trumpet Competition prize, and 3rd place in the 6th Philip Jones International Brass Ensemble Competition. Sato was a part-time lecturer at the Orchestral Research Department of the Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra) from 2001 to 2003. He then went on to Germany to study for 3 years at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. His mentors include Haruhisa Okada, Mineo Sugiki, Yoshiaki Fukuda, Edmund Cord, the late Pierre Thibaud, and Matthias Höfs. Sato is currently the Principal Trumpet of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and a contract member of the Siena Wind Orchestra. He is a part-time lecturer at the Tokyo University of the Arts, Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, and Shobi College of Music Diploma Department. He is the Executive Director of the Japan Trumpeters’ Association.

Tomonori Ozeki was born on March 3, 1988. After finishing his studies at the University of Tokyo, he was educated in Paris for three years at Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris in cycle concertist.

In 2015, he got Diplôme Master with distinction of Brussels Royal Conservatory.

It expands its career in Belgium, and played in places such as the Japanese Embassy.

He studied with Billy Eidi, Piet KUIJKEN, Johan Schumidt and Emiko Morimoto.

The idea of building great music from modest or fragmentary means has characterized the work of Nordic composers for generations. In Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen’s music, that idea finds a particularly exquisite and absolutely contemporary expression. In Toccata the music glances towards a filmic chase-down, whereas Nielsen in Ophelia Dances claims to ‘hear the dancing’ of that fragile character from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The album concludes with Nielsen’s single-movement symphony, Symphony No. 3, which sets in motion a cumulative journey upwards from low to high: a symphonic Tower of Babel, reaching for the heavens.

The focus of many a jazz aficionado has shifted to Tuomas A. Turunen due to his role as the pianist who sets the course for the playing in the Emil Brandqvist Trio, currently one of Europe’s most successful piano trios. For instance, with the album “Seascapes” the highly acclaimed group was able to celebrate an ECHO JAZZ AWARD nomination, “Falling Crystals” climbed to a No. 7 ranking on the German Jazz Charts, and both “Within A Dream” and “Entering The Woods” even made it into the Top 5. The pianist from Finland appeared not only as soloist on these albums but as composer, too. While still studying in Gothenburg, Sweden, his teachers included the renowned Anders Jormin. In 2010 he received the Special Jury Prize in the Piano Competitions at the Montreux Jazz Festival. And in 2017, his solo album “Ornaments Of Time” reaped well-deserved, exuberant reviews from critics.

Benjamin David Goodman (May 30, 1909 – June 13, 1986) was an American jazz clarinetist and bandleader known as the “King of Swing”.

From 1936 until the mid-1940s, Goodman led one of the most popular swing big bands in the United States. His concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City on January 16, 1938, is described by critic Bruce Eder as “the single most important jazz or popular music concert in history: jazz’s ‘coming out’ party to the world of ‘respectable’ music.”

Goodman’s bands started the careers of many jazz musicians. During an era of racial segregation, he led one of the first integrated jazz groups, his quartet and quintet. He performed nearly to the end of his life while exploring an interest in classical music.

It also announced the new artistic direction for the future of The Kompressor Experiment. This new album, “Ebb & Flow” is recorded during spring of 2021 by Ludovic Volper (Méandre). Darker and more frantic than ever, the 7 tracks present a view of the history of mankind, its uncertain beginnings (Endure The Sky, Riss-Würm), through its exponential development (Epigenesis), its infinite violent cycles (Tooth & Nail, Castle Bravo I and II) to end on a hope for resilience (Liminal Space). Musically, the album draws from post-metal and prog-metal, with influences such as The Ocean, Leprous or Russian Circles while integrating elements from electronic music and offering a greater presence to synthesizers.
