The summer sounds pretty wet, good mood and mood are not only musically sown. Shake Shake Go could be a small ray of hope. And bright spot is the right word for the second album of the indie band anyway. Already the pre-release single “Dinosaur”, which also acts as an opener here, can animate you to dance properly. A choir sings in the already sunny chorus, after that the brilliant guitars take over. In general, the good mood is right at the top of the class, which is very rarely the case in the wet summer. Already in the second song “Fake Love” Shake Shake Go proves that they also master ballads, this is quite powerful and based on a guitar riff. In the summery “Mahi Mahi” is philosophized about what it would be like to live as a fish, also “Let You Down” and “With You” play with summery guitars and rhythms. On paper, this sounds like a malt party, so Shake Shake Go has nothing to do with it. Much more fits the music like a fist on the afternoon program of the favorite indie festival. Alone songs like “Come Back To Me” would without a doubt run in every radio on rotation, so much sun shines out of them. Again and again peel indie guitars from the pop melodies, which sometimes even as in “Control” produce right up-beat-rock songs. Especially like the varied nature of the songs, which are never too complex and pay attention to the fun factor, but still do not go to easy ways, as you can see in the slight blues appeal of the Closer “Panda”. As influences, the band even Arcade Fire and Oasis, passages of these can be found in poppigeren garb also quite. The summer is almost over. If you want to breathe for the last time the light-heartedness of this season, but you do not feel like flattened party pop, you might find it on Shake Shake Go!
