After the release of the albumD “what if” last year, there was talk of an ensemble like an organism, an exceptional album and the perfect playing of the leader. Even back then, pianist Rainer Böhm had dispensed with the wind section for three compositions during the dramaturgically cleverly linked, highly emotional sextet events, which were balanced like a dream between improvisation and composition, in order to have room for trio pieces with double bassist Arne Huber and drummer Jonas Burgwinkel.
