Atlanta-based CCM artist Lauren Daigle delivers Behold, her first Christmas album and second LP for the Centricity label. Co-produced by Paul Mabury and Jason Ingram, the album offers soft jazz arrangements of a variety of holiday standards from “O Holy Night” to “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” Inspired by the jazz sounds of her hometown of New Orleans, Behold also includes a new song “Light of the World,” which was written by Mabury and Ingram. Behold follows up Daigle’s 2015 Christian chart-topping debut How Can It Be.

Billboard Christian Albums – #1 (2016). Behold: A Christmas Collection is the second studio album by American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle. The collection features Daigle’s renditions of Christmas classics including “Jingle Bells”, “White Christmas”, “Silent Night”, and many more!

Behold plays like an audio time capsule built of saxes, trombones and other horns (even tubas!), upright bass, brushes on drums, mellow sounding hollow body guitars, and vocals that are rich and distinctive but still somehow laid-back in their feel. Whereas Lauren Daigle’s debut album was energy-laced, radie-ready pop, her Christmas project seems in some ways to be a confident re-imagining of her own versatile vocal gifts, showcased in a more mature and subdued, but also more eloquent, context.

The wait is over. Lauren Daigle’s new single “You Say” was released to Christian radio on July 9, and the song will be followed by her second studio full-length, Look Up Child, due Sept. 7. The set is her follow-up to her 2015 breakthrough, How Can It Be.

As she gets ready for her next chapter, Daigle sat down for a podcast (listen below) with Billboard’s Nashville-based country, Christian and gospel chart manager Jim Asker to discuss Look Up Child, for which she co-wrote 12 of the 13 tracks, her upcoming tour and dealing with the expectations of following a wildly successful debut LP.
