So Tender is Gaspar’s third work in unaccompanied acoustic bass guitar format. The antecedents are AKIXÍ (2007) and La Nit (2012). In them you can see how Gaspar turns this instrument into the color palette to paint his compositions. In So Tender he offers his particular connection with the jazz repertoire, tailored to his instrument and himself. The performance generally includes exposition of the theme and improvisations in the most jazz sense. Gaspar alternates the role of soloist with the role of rhythm section, managing to delimit the message and maintain interest. These versions are permeated by the emotional character of Gaspar.
