Elowen is a collection of tunes that we’re calling nu-medieval. This means that they use some medieval instruments and sounds (but not exclusively) and some medieval musical modes and scales. However, they are not medieval music. There is no historical accuracy or even an attempt at it. These are modern tunes with roots as much in current fantasy music and RPG music as in medieval times. There is even a subtle science fiction, alternative history, element. The aim is to take you elsewhere or elsewhen, for a short time.
