The latest release from Footprint Records – Wooden Bodies – is a snapshot of a decade of contemporary creativity within the string quartet genre and celebrates the Malva String Quartet’s appetite for the new and unusual – for novel ways in which the ‘wooden bodies’ of the ensemble, both human and instrumental, might converse, argue, interact and celebrate. The Malva Quartet is definitely one the most exciting string quartets in Sweden and their driving force is curiosity. ‘We play music that we are passionate about and we want to provide high quality and intensely communicative musical experiences. When we set our programs we try to push the boundaries, experimenting with sounds and expectations. We love to collaborate with other artists and we have a playful approach to music making and concert creation.’ Karin Rehnqvist’s The Riddle is a single-movement work that threads a typically simple, folk-like melody on a journey through the quartet’s varied expressive capabilities. ‘I try to find ideas that are simple but have complexity inside, so that you can make more out of it,’ the composer has said. Tebogo Monnakgotla was nominated for the 2018 Nordic Council Music Prize. Her score Wooden Bodies from 2018 was commissioned by the Malva Quartet. It is a piece both elusive and tangible, presenting a theatrical interplay between the four ‘wooden bodies’ of the string quartet which appear to long for unification. My Desert, My Rose by Aleksandra Vrebalov is based on the idea of individuality in a string quartet: ‘what one brings to the group, what one gives to the others and what one gets from them.’ Lo Kristenson has focused on music in circular, twisting forms that explore the minute details of resistance, energy, pressure and slow growth. Her score vridna, vagsang explores the idea of resistance in the instruments, adding vocal sounds too.

Maluma has officially revealed the album cover and track list for 11:11, coining the announcement as a “very special day” on social media.
The Colombian singer dropped more exciting details on his upcoming studio album on Wednesday (May 1). “Pre-order begins today,” he stated in the Instagram post. “The album will be officially available on May 17. Let’s get ittttt.”
Maluma’s forthcoming production includes 16 new songs, featuring nine promising collaborations with artists such as Ricky Martin, Ozuna, Nicky Jam, Zion & Lennox, Sech, Ty Dolla Sign, Chencho, and Farina. Plus, Maluma and Madonna have teamed up for another track called “Soltera.”

“Relationships” is an album formed from the various strands of familial, personal and musical connections between the composers and performers involved. Elizabeth Maconchy, was a cousin of Giles Swayne’s mother and a major influence on his musical development. Nicola LeFanu is Maconchy’s daughter and Swayne’s cousin. Violinist Malu Lin is married to Giles Swayne, and studied with violinist Christopher Rowland, for whom Swayne composed his 1975 Duo. The programme covers nearly a century of British music for violin and piano, connecting the sound-worlds of Vaughan Williams (who taught Maconchy), Bartók and Janáček (who influenced Maconchy), and Petrassi (who taught LeFanu).

Caos es el décimo álbum de estudio de la cantante Malú. Un álbum que salió a la venta el 27 de noviembre de 2015, y que ha creado mucha expectación, convirtiéndolo en número 1 a él, y a las dos primeras canciones, Quiero y Cenizas.
El primer sencillo del décimo álbum de estudio (Caos) fue Quiero, que fue publicado el 25 de septiembre de 2015. Su videoclip se lanzó el 6 de Noviembre y fue dirigido por Pedro B. Abreu y producido por Zapping Produccions.
El segundo sencillo fue Encadenada a tí, que fue publicado a principios de enero de 2016. Este sencillo ha tenidos dos videoclips, el primero es un lyric video donde junto a la canción se ven a los fans con sus manos juntas, fotos que la discográfica pidió para hacer el video. El segundo videoclip estás protagonizado por la propia cantante por la zona de Madrid, donde Malu nos enseña que está “Encadenada a la música y encadenada a la vida”.
El tercer sencillo es “Caos”, canción que pone título al disco, que ha sido publicado a finales del mes de Abril, justo cuando empieza la gira de conciertos que hará por toda España con su “Tour Caos”.

Dmitry Kabalevsky found his mature style and achieved international success with his first opera Colas Breugnon, the overture of which was soon picked up as an orchestral showpiece in the West. The Second Symphony was likewise championed by conductors such as Arturo Toscanini, its bittersweet sense of drama and lyricism comparable with Prokofiev. Dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution, the First Symphony illustrates progress from oppression to liberation, while the later Pathetique Overture is a rousing and highly effective reminder of Kabalevsky’s skill in orchestration. Founded in 1925, the Malmo Symphony Orchestra is one of the leading major orchestras in Sweden. Performing the full breadth of the symphonic repertoire, the MSO collaborates with prominent international conductors and soloists, including its current chief conductor Marc Soustrot. Since 2015 the MSO has resided in Malmo Live Concert Hall, a state of the art facility known for its world class acoustics.

This new Beethoven symphony cycle with Malmö Symphony Orchestra is conductor Robert Trevino’s debut release on Ondine. Trevino is one of the fastest rising young conductors and known for his fresh and vivid interpretations of both standard repertoire as well as contemporary works. Currently Trevino is holding the tenure as chief conductor of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and as music director of the Basque National Orchestra. After studies with conductors David Zinman, Seiji Ozawa and Michael Tilson Thomas, Trevino worked closely as Leif Segerstam’s assistant before making his debuts with a number of leading symphony orchestras worldwide. These Beethoven symphonies were recorded in connection with a Beethoven festival which was arranged in Malmö, Sweden in October, 2019.
