Radio K.A.O.S. is the second studio album by British rock musician and former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters. It was Waters’ first album after his split from Pink Floyd in 1985. Like his previous and future studio albums and many works of his during his time with Pink Floyd, this is a concept album. The album is based around a number of key factors of politics in the late 1980s – monetarism, and its effect on citizens. Roger Waters The Wall is a new film written and directed by Roger Waters and Sean Evans that combines the concert experience of Pink Floyd‘s The Wall album (as performed on Waters’ 2010-2013 The Wall Live tour) with off-stage ‘road movie’ footage of of the musician and songwriter reflecting on the impact of war on his own family.
The film was shot in 4k and mixed in Dolby ‘Atmos’ and throughout the presentation the concert film is interspersed with documentary scenes of Waters travelling to France to the site where his grandfather is buried, and Italy to a memorial for his father – both lost to war.
On stage and now on film, Waters has channelled his convictions into his art and his music. With Roger Waters The Wall, Waters – together with his fellow musicians and his creative collaborators – brings audiences an exultant ride of a rock and roll concert, and delivers an unforgettable, deeply emotional experience. With ‘Pearls On A String’ Belgrade-born singer, keyboard player and songwriter Katarina Pejak announces her second release on Ruf Records.
Or rather her third, if you take the live recording from Ruf’s 2019 Blues Caravan into account that she played together with her colleagues Ina Forsman and Ally Venable.
While her 2019 label debut ‘Roads That Cross’ was recorded at Mike Zito’s MARZ studio in Texas, with Zito also acting as producer, the recording sessions for the new album took place in France where Katarina Pejak has since taken up residence. Her husband, Romain Guillot, played an important role as co-producer and sound engineer on the record.
Apart from ten originals two covers can be found on the tracklist: the Pink Floyd classic “Money” written by Roger Waters and “Honey Jar” by the US roots band The Wood Brothers. “My version of ‘Money’ was fun to record, with an ironic and spooky twist that will hopefully question the message of the song. And ‘Honey Jar’ is just a beautiful song that I love to play.” As far as the themes of her own songs are concerned, the musician adds, “they are about saying goodbye to the past, joyfully questioning love and relationships and enjoying what we have. After a period of starting new songs but not being able to finish them, it was like a levee broke, after I had written the title track of ‘Pearls On A String’ and songs just started pouring out.”

Pink Floyd Live at Knebworth 1990, a new package documenting the band’s Silver Clef Award Winners show at England’s Knebworth House, will be released on April 30.
The concert, previously unreleased until appearing on the 2019 Later Years box set, will debut as a stand-alone release digitally and on CD and double vinyl. Singer and guitarist David Gilmour remixed the audio with Andy Jackson, and the project features new artwork shot by Hipgnosis’ Aubrey “Po” Powell and designed by Storm Studios’ Peter Curzon.
