In 2018, Tucker Beathard had recently gotten out of a record deal and was determined to make music on his own terms. He teamed up with a group of his favorite co-writers, and poured his frustrations and musical ambitions into a hefty batch of songs. The result was Nobody’s Everything, the first in a two-part album project that served as his freedom song, the chance to record music he felt fully represented him as an artist.
That project caught the attention of another label, Warner Music Nashville, and he signed with the label in January of last year.

In April 2017 The Who took to the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall to perform their rock opera “Tommy” live in its entirety for the first time in their long and illustrious career. Previous Who live shows had always dropped two, three or four tracks from the album but for this show in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust the band would perform every track. With specially created animations on a huge screen above the stage and creative use of lighting the concert told the story of the “deaf, dumb and blind kid who sure played a mean pinball.” In addition, at the end of Tommy, the sell-out crowd was treated to a short set of Who classics. Always a great live band, this performance was a thrilling ride from start to finish.
As well as the incredible full show, we also include some great bonus features. There is a behind the scenes featurette, plus also full screen animations of both The Acid Queen and Pinball Wizard with the live performance audio.

Over the past few years, I’ve unexpectedly got a bit into astrology. Many songs on this album, and even the title, refer to it. Actually, this is something that for half of my life I disregarded as nonsense, even anti-science. However, personal experiences, encounters with special people over the years, and personal observation in this field, have made me let go of this prejudgement. I came to realize that it is a very old tradition which is rooted in centuries of observing patterns. It simply sees us humans, not as detached from the universe, but as an interconnected part of it, and puts our lives in relation to the cosmos around it. It seems that only the detached, modern and egocentric human mind is willing to see itself as this free-willed individual that can’t possibly be influenced by the time, the place, by all of the circumstances present, when it came into existence.

The Trio Zadig releases an elegantly romantic performance of Tchaikovsky’s Seasons. This is probably the most poetic and the most popular of all of Tchaikovsky’s works, with its twelve short pieces, one for each month of the year. The collection was composed at the request of Nikolay Matveyevich Bernard, the publisher of Le Nouvelliste, a monthly music magazine in St. Petersburg. Alexander Goedicke, a Russian composer of the early 20th century made this arrangement of the Seasons for piano trio. The actor Stéphane Varupenne of the Comédie-Française here adds a magically childlike aspect to the cycle: this recording is like a musical book, one that has a poem for each month of the year. These verses can be delicious, charming, lyrical, subtle, and even melancholic, with a typically Russian character that Stéphane Varupenne takes pleasure in imparting. Each piece seems to begin with the words “Once upon a time…”.
