I will come back is a chamber opera by Robert Groslot, based on the book I’m coming back (Ik kom terug) by Adriaan van Dis, who also wrote the libretto. In the novel, the son describes his difficult relationship with his mother, with whom Robert has a certain affinity. The chamber opera is accompanied by Six Poems by William Butler Yeats. On this album, Groslot excels in his compositions combining literature and musical grammar. The opera is performed by soloists Héloïse Mas and Thomas Oliemans, accompanied by the Vlaams Radiokoor and Brussels Philharmonic soloists.

Brazilian poet, lyricist, essayist and playwright, Vinícius de Moraes (1913-1980) became a seminal figure in modern Brazilian music and literature. He served as a national diplomat, composed his own bossa nova music and recorded several significant albums. Along with his longtime collaborator, composer, arranger, singer, and pianist/guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim (1927-1994), known in Brazil as Tom Jobim, he composed hundreds of songs that have become true classics and have transcended the bossa nova, as they continue to be played and recorded by countless singers and instrumentalists within Brazil and throughout the world.

Since 2010 the Associazione La Cantoria has dedicated its energies to the rediscovery of unpublished musical compositions from Rome, transcribing, studying and performing these both live and recording them under the Tactus record label. This cd is dedicated to the musician, composer and organist Francesco Giovannini who was chapelmeister at the Church of Santa Maria in Portico in Campitelli in the 18th century, and whose works are conserved in the archives of the Order of the Clerics Regular of the Mother of God in Rome. The best way to understand and appreciate a liturgical musical composition is to savour it the very same context where it was born and for which it was conceived. This is what this CD intends to do; to allow us to live the sonorous experience of an ancient mass of the Roman rite. These late-Baroque compositions by Francesco Giovannini shine like precious gems set in an antique piece of jewellery made of Gregorian chant, readings, and orations where the organ is heard almost fleetingly in those moments when the sound of the voice and other instruments is superfluous or even prohibited.

This deluxe 2CD 24-track digital collection, greatly expands Vince Guaraldi Trio’s landmark achievement, which included the Grammy winning hit ‘Cast Your Fate to the Wind’ (No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart). The set features 16 bonus tracks including alternate takes and previously unreleased music along with new liner notes. Even without the presence of his tune ‘Cast Your Fate to the Wind’, a genuine and all-too-rare instrumental hit that reached No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart, Guaraldi’s 1962 album ‘Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus’ was a landmark achievement that introduced a trio with a singularly alluring sound. Vince Guaraldi’s score from the classic 1965 animated Peanuts special, A Charlie Brown Christmas, is subject of a major reissue campaign from Craft Recordings.
One the the best selling jazz albums of all time is explored across a number of formats, including a comprehensive 4CD+blu-ray super deluxe edition, which features hours of newly unearthed session tapes from Fantasy Records’ vaults. This set also offers a blu-ray audio with a Dolby Atmos Mix and hi-res stereo mixes.
In fact, the standard version of the album has now been upgraded with a new stereo mix from engineer, Paul Blakemore. This features on a special 2LP deluxe vinyl which offers 13 bonus alternates. An expanded CD edition mirrors this content.
A single LP vinyl edition maintains the original 1965 mix but for this reissue is offered in gold foil sleeved with embossing details. So the outside cover is gold, but the actual vinyl is available in a number of coloured vinyl variants, depending on retailer.
The super deluxe offers more than 50 never-before-heard outtakes from five recording sessions and features both mixes of the album on CD 1. It is housed in a hardcover book which helps to guide fans through the entire recording process, via new, in-depth sleeve notes by Derrick Bang – a Peanuts expert.
The single LP vinyl editions of A Charlie Brown Christmas are released on 16 September 2022. The super deluxe, 2LP and single CD editions follow on 14 October, via Craft Recordings.

The String Quartet in E minor by Ethel Smyth, one of the most innovative and original figures in English music, has a masterful coherence and consistency. With eloquent writing for the viola in particular, it is both playful and reverential, and ends with a flourish – forthright, bold and uncompromising, like Smyth herself. Delius wrote the early String Quartet in 1888 but it was rejected for performance and he was later to reuse the Scherzo for his mature Quartet of 1916-19(8.573586). In 2018 the score of the two opening movements of the 1888 Quartet, long assumed lost, reappeared at auction and have been edited and reunited with the final two in this premiere recording, which adds significantly to our understanding of Delius’s early compositional directions.

Village Of The Sun is an enigmatic collaboration between UK jazz virtuosos Binker Golding & Moses Boyd and electronic music legend Simon Ratcliffe of Basement Jaxx fame.
Born out of a shared passion for improvised instrumental music, the new project sees all three of the artists steps into relatively new territory, combining their respective sensibilities to create something all at once atmospheric and danceable. Evocative of some of Simon’s inspirations such as Alice Coltrane, Airto Moreira and Masters at Work, Village Of The Sun embodies a hybrid of electronic beats, heady jazz improvisation, and sheer, raw energy, breaking ground between pseudo-Samba rhythms, dreamy ambient textures, and explosive sax and percussion.
